Stories Behind the Art: Wall Paintings

Featuring six wall paintings from around the world, this book explores the stories told through the art form, from Aboriginal fable in Australian rock painting to political statement in the Easter Rising mural. Each wall painting is looked at in detail, and a more general introduction to the medium provides a historical context. Fun, step-by-step projects show children how to create their own wall paintings, using the techniques of the art form. Design a graffiti poster, create a mural or paint an awe-inspiring frescoe! The Stories in Art series explores the narratives told through different art mediums. Other titles in the series: Stained Glass Windows Mosaics Tapestries and Textiles Sculpture Decorated Pottery
