Sinners Consumed

My world is on fire, and I’m in love with the girl who struck the match. Blood on my hands and a body at my feet only confirm what I’ve always known - Penny Price was destined to be my ruin. The gentleman I pretended to be is long gone. My sins bleed through the fabric of my life, staining everything she touches. I tried to walk away. Failed. Tried to destroy her. Failed again. Now we’re both burning, slow dancing in the flames. I tell myself I’ll rise from the ashes once she’s gone - but I can’t let her go. And Penny… she’d have to run to the ends of the earth to escape me.
