As Dolezal has said herself, "I do take exception to that, because it's a little more complex than me identifying as black, or answering a question of, 'Are you black or white?'" she said. Surely this can't be the first time a person this has been done. Maybe her appearance was an experiment. A sort of "Day in the Life" of a black woman, but with lighter skin. There are African-Americans with lighter skin than some Caucasian people, so is it really about color? Is it identity?
