Fireflies & Forever

Billie Walker. Single mom. Little sister. The reliable one. Somewhere between school drop-offs and late-night bartending shifts, her own dreams have been quietly waiting their turn. What Billie doesn’t need? Romance. Especially not with Eli Davis: former hockey star, Hope Harbor heartbreaker, and her overprotective brother’s best friend. But when a harmless mistake lands Billie winning Eli in a town dating auction, Hope Harbor’s resident matchmakers - the Liberty Ladies - decide fate needs a little push. Five public dates should prove Eli is all wrong for her. . . or exactly right. Eli knows Billie doesn’t need saving - she needs space to breathe. So instead of charm and grand gestures, he shows up where it matters: helping her son with homework, teaching him hockey, and encouraging Billie to rediscover who she is beyond motherhood and family obligations. Somewhere between the Daffodil Festival and quiet nights lit by fireflies, their fake dates turn dangerously real. But secrets don’t stay hidden long in Hope Harbor. And loving Eli could mean risking her heart and carefully controlled world. Is this forbidden romance just a fleeting spark. . . or the forever Billie never knew she deserved?
