The Lone Wolf

Meet the Lone Wolf – the jewel thief turned private eye! The first book in the series – more or less an origin story, following Lanyard alias the Lone wolf's childhood, the life of crime he embarks on, and why he turns his back on it. His vow to go straight comes at a cost, starting a series of events that lead to him being first framed for murder, then almost getting murdered himself, and high-octane danger first in a car chase, and then in a biplane, as he and Lucy his love interest try to escape to France. Believed to be the inspiration for The Saint, The Lone Wolf came fourteen years before Simon Templar made his debut.
