Les Liaisons Dangereuses

Choderlos de Laclos’s scandalous 18th-century novel of seduction, manipulation and revenge, featuring a star cast led by Diana Rigg, Roger Allam, Juliet Stevenson and Samuel West. Pierre Choderlos de Laclos’s 1782 epistolary novel remains one of the most influential explorations of power, class, sexual politics and social performance in European fiction. The story follows the Marquise de Merteuil ( Diana Rigg ) and Vicomte de Valmont ( Roger Allam ) as they manipulate, seduce and destroy those around them through a calculated campaign of emotional and moral corruption in pre-Revolutionary France.
