Once Upon a Memory

Does a feather remember it was once a bird? Does a story remember it was once a word? In this simple yet evocative picture book, author Nina Laden takes readers on a journey through the various cycles of growing up, from a garden that began as a single seed to a child remembering that she was once small. Nina's gentle, rhythmic verse combines with Renata's enchanting illustrations to create a tender look at life for parent and child to share together. The story appeals to both children and adults - children will respond to the enticing read-aloud and the " before" and " after" scenes, and adults will connect with the poignant message.
