Baby Animal Rescue

For every animal lover or aspiring vet, this adorable book, full of photos of cute baby animals, will have you oohing and aahing. These lucky animal orphans were saved by some amazing animal helpers, staying up through the night to feed them and nurturing them until they were strong enough to look after themselves. Featuring animals from around the world, this book explains how the animals are found, the different needs each has to help them grow up and how the animals are taught the skills they need to eventually survive on their own. The close-up photos are from NaturePL, a specialist nature picture library, who hold many photographs from the BBC Natural History unit and work with world class wildlife photographers. Featuring animals such as wombats, kangaroos, raccoons, grey squirrels, hedgehogs, mountain lions, sea otters, seals, elephants, beavers, pangolins, skunks, brown bears, deer, orangutan and chimpanzees. Perfect as a leisure read for children aged 7-9 but also supports the science curriculum's study of living things and the PSHE curriculum's guidance for living in the wider world and the responsibilities of caring for other living things. Readers can learn what baby animals need in order to thrive, which supports the science curriculum about living things. These things also mirror what humans need to survive, such as food, shelter and lots of love.
